Who we are.

Wolford Development, Inc. is a privately owned development company headquartered in Chattanooga, TN.  The company was founded in March of 1999 by James L. “Bucky” Wolford.  Prior to forming Wolford Development, Mr. Wolford was one of the original partners that formed CBL & Associates in 1978.  Under Mr. Wolford’s guidance as Senior Executive Vice-President of CBL, the company developed in excess of 22,000,000 square feet of retail space from 1978 to the fall of 1993 when the company was taken public raising in excess of $450,000,000. Today the company is known as CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. and trades under the symbol CBL on the New York Stock Exchange.

Since its inception, Wolford Development, Inc. has developed, opened and managed in excess of 2,500,000 square feet of retail projects and over $203,000,000 represented in development costs
